Last week, superstar Beyoncé was photoed wearing “OBAMA” hoop-earrings as she walked through New York City. Today, it was reported by TMZ that sales of the earrings have skyrocketed since the photos of Beyoncé hit the internet. Jewelry designer Erika Peña claims that she only sold 5 pairs of the earrings before the “Love On Top” singer snagged a pair. Since then, Peña claims to have sold over 1,300 pairs, with sales being domestic and international, according to MTV.com. Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z have been avid supporters of President Obama’s reelection campaign and helped raise $4 million for his campaign in a recent fundraiser.
