Ja Rule A Step Closer to Freedom
Grammy nominated rapper and actor, Ja Rule, was once at the top of his game up until recent years. Ja Rule’s musical career went into hiatus due to his legal woes.
In 2010, Ja Rule pleaded guilty to possession of a unlicensed, loaded, semiautomatic weapon. Then in 2011, Rule pleaded guilty to three counts of failing to file a tax return, admitting that he’d failed to pay income tax on more than $3 million earned from 2004 through 2006.
This morning, Rule was released from an upstate New York prison after serving majority of his two year sentence for illegal gun possession. He still has to serve some time for his tax evasion. But he may have less than six months left to serve and may be eligible for a halfway house.
While staying in the halfway house, he will have to pay $1.1 million in back taxes.
Hopefully, Ja Rule has matured and learned from his mistakes. His large debt will surely be motivation to remain focused and get back to making music that his fans loved.
Until next time…Peace, Love & Politics

I think it’s crazy how a lot of people could buy hundred thousand dollar chains and big cars, expensive houses etc…but can’t afford to pay a little bit of tax!!
I don’t think he can make a comeback. The rap game is constantly changing, I’m anxious to hear what his album might sound like
Sorry to hear that
Smh how irresponsible, what’s the purpose of having all this money if you’re not gonna pay taxes :-/
Poor Ja Rule smh…. He just needs to call it quits. Nobody’s checking for him anymore so I think a music career is out of the question. He just needs to lay low & work on paying back his taxes.
this is not cool.. he is setting a bad example. his career is down the drain
